In the early 1990s 100LBS sand bags were use to add weight to the boat to create larger boat wake. These wakes allowed the rider to jump higher and further than ever imagined possible. FATSACS are a modern weighting device for the boats. Pump kits fill the FATSACS with water to quickly add weight in the boat. The added weight causes the boat to displace more water to create large boat wakes. The FATSACS can be positioned in the boat's, back, sides, front, under the floor, ski locker and in storage department locations. Once you are done riding, electric pumps quickly remove the water out of the FATSACs.

Rumor has it that two well-known barefooters were sitting in a boat during a barefoot/wakeboard competition. They discussed the first concept of how to replace the 100lbs sand bag by filling a bag with water. One of them patented the FATSAC idea without the others knowledge. Giving him total patent and royalty rights. Nothing like a little friendly competition. The other guy was left on the dock holding the bag, so the story is told. The rest is history, good riding!
